Susan Smith, the owner of Simply Elegant Weddings, started her business in 2004 and has built a reputation for producing detail-oriented weddings that always leave her clients pleased. She can plan opulent grand weddings or a small intimate affair.  Having access to the best wedding vendors in the DC metro area, you are guaranteed the finest for your wedding day.

“Couples always come to me saying that they want their wedding to be exactly like the name of my company Simply Elegant. Although that’s where we start, each wedding is very different and is a combination of elegance and tradition that is mixed with today’s trends. No two weddings are alike since the wedding is designed to match the personality of the couple.”

Before starting her company, Susan graduated from Virginia Tech and started her career in the fashion industry working as a buyer and eventually the Director of Store Operations for a local retail company.  She loves to entertain, spend time with her friends, and travel with her husband. A native Washingtonian, she and her husband currently live in Fairfax Station with their cat Teddy.
